Dr. Najir Hosen Sarkar – Pediatrician & Neonatologist
Dr. Najir Hosen Sarkar completed his MBBS from the prestigious Medical College, Kolkata. He subsequently pursued a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from Chittaranjan Seva Sadan Hospital. During this period, extensive experience was gained in the management of a wide range of pediatric and neonatal cases, including those in Special Newborn Care Units (SNCU), Pediatric Intensive Care Units (PICU), and Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU). Exposure across various pediatric wards enabled the development of comprehensive clinical skills in handling diverse and complex cases.
In addition, several specialized programs and courses related to pediatrics, neonatology and health research were completed, including:
- The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Post-Graduate Program in Pediatric Nutrition (PGPN – Boston, USA)
- Neonatology based on Pediatrics in Review (American Academy of Pediatrics)
- Basic Course in Biomedical Research (Indian Council of Medical Research – ICMR)
Professionally, Dr. Sarkar has served as:
- A Medical Officer under the Government of West Bengal for 5 years
- A specialist doctor in NICU and Pediatrics at Bellevue Clinic, Kolkata, for 5 years
Currently, he is serving as a consultant pediatrician & neonatologist at Bellevue Clinic, Kolkata.
